that I compile the
newest version and that is my next experiment. I hope that it works,
because compiling usually opens another can of worms :-)

back-up tapes. I think that is the procedure in the old VAX install manual?

I thought that somebody already made a howto because it seems that all
the needed stuff can be found. I still hope someone can point me in the
right direction. Off course I have to study the other replies to see if
they help :-).
