This sounds like two dumb questions. After years of using RedHat i
have set a machine up with mandrake.
Two simple problems:
1) No sound - Yet card is configured correctly and volume is set
above 0.
2) Cd drives cannot be read

When I did this I did it the other way around. Put Xp on first. Create an
empty partition (fat32 is best) then install redhat to the empty partition. I
used partition magic as it does resize ntfs partitions non destructively. Then using
you favourite boot manager it should all

Samba up and running on rh7.1.
Win 98 machines see it fine XP won't access shared resources.

I'm installing a second samba server on my home network using RH7.1.
Installed and configured samba fine.
It appears in windows network neibhorhood but will not allow access.
The error message is samba is not accessible the computer or share name could not be
found

boot floppy not on hda1. Wher can I find how to move it ? If I try and
boot from hda1 I get onlt L. No windows on this box at all, hdb1 is the
