A couple or few degrees should help in penetration. The very least would be
to flatten the concave back of the bottom of the wing. That is a relatively
high camber section and will gain in penetration by removing the camber.
BTW, the best thermalling for that airfoil is (depending upon wing loadi

I just got some tungsten powder and it's impressively dense. I haven't put it
to use yet, so I can't speak from experience about its properties.

I am looking for a ballast solution for my Trinity Carbon/Acacia 3 slope

really expensive. Has anyone ever tried making ballast out of tungsten

I have had two Chrysalis 2M sailplanes. I think they are
great. The wing chord is plenty wide so the visibility is good at a high
altitude. The long tail moment makes it behave well. Follow all the
directions, such as the washout of the wing tips. I set up the Vee tail

I built one a few years ago and was very satisfied.
Things I liked: It's a nice plane - builds easily, all the parts fit and the
wood selection is good. It has more wing area than the average 2 meter, so
it's easier to see, and floats well. The thin section allows for good
penetration as well
