For the 'coagulate' part, if you want the lights to move to the centre, you
can do a linear interpolate between the current point positions and the
central point ('pointer' in your ICE set up?). The blend value will give a
nice controllable attraction that should move into a round blurry shape.
Thanks for
that great insight!

This worked for me. I was able to render a grid with aaOcean applied to it.
The aaOceanIceDeformer plugin showed up in Plugin Manager
aaOceanRev255\aaOcean\Arnold\Arnold-4.2.0.6-windows\Shader\aaOcean.dll
to
$WORKGROUP\Addons\SItoA\Application\Plugins\bin\nt-x86-64
Hi Adrian
try running kick.exe -nodes, or kick.exe -info aaOcean as mentioned in the
email off-list.
you may have an incompatible arnold version. I am guessing you are using
aaocean compiled against a newer api version.
try the 4.2.0.1 version if kick says you are using an incompatible version.
kick from Arnold 4.2.0.0 can load aaOcean from 4.2.0.6
loading plugins from
C:\Users\StephenBlair\Downloads\aaOceanRev255\aaOcean\Arnold\Arnold-4.2.0.6-windows\Shader

If he really is
running arnold version 4.2.0.5
and using the aaocean v4.2.0.6
then

Hi there,
So, as soon as I hit 7 (render tree) or Alt 9 (Ice Tree) XSI_2013
crashes with a windows error message.
First of, I'm aware that it is a known SI 2013 bug and that it was
adressed in SI 2014.
The workaround (for me) was to open an ice tree and a render tree in an
empty scene,
Did you add Softimage to the 'Program Settings' inside the driver?
Try disabling 'threaded optimization'. If available, set 'block transfer'
off.
However, you *can* use your latest working driver for the quadro card on the
titan.

I am updating some mental ray shaders I wrote many years ago.
When using a .spdl for the UI and making the most minimal of tweaks to my C++
code to be compliant with the current version of mental ray, the shaders render
as expected. However, when using a ShaderDefinition to define the UI and
yes, it is 64 bit. I tried it 2 64 bit Vista machines, I get an error the OS
is not supported.
