Yeah.. there was an aura of passion and excitement about the presenters. Allot of the other launch events for other products has a narcissistic arrogance about them. I hate those dramatic pauses you sometimes see just before they unveil the next generation of totally redesigned worthless

I mentioned this over on the Modo beta forums, but it's also worth mentioning here. Houdini is never going to be a replacement for a direct modelling application because of the very nature of proceduralism. But since H14 there has been a concerted effort to improve the direct modelling user
