Not to be a [EMAIL PROTECTED], but why would you bother? My original Lucas starter
lasted 20+ years, the rebuilt one from Moss\LBCCARCO cost under $100, and
it spins my high compression 1296 over with gusto. What does the gear
reduction get you? Other than a big hole in the wallet?

Probably a bad sending unit.
Will the one off my 1500 work?
Probably, but I don't know for certain.
Engine oil is about the same viscosity as gear oil, or slightly less.
It won't make the box feel stiff. Lack of lubrication on the
plastic
pivot ball of the shifter will though.
Looks like I'll

I contacted the seller about this. It is indeed a compressor and the

I agree that the oem units do work just fine. But
there are a few advantages. Such as 5 roller ball
bearing surfaces compared to 2 bushing surfaces on oem
units. As well as low cold cranking amperage drain, so

What do you mean by the gap had completely disappeared?
If you mean the outer electrode had gotten smashed down onto the center
electrode, something hit it in the cylinder.
If you mean the inner electrode seems to have slipped down, that I've
seen with the Bosch platinums, several times. I've

I bought one from TSI for my GT6 because the heat from my headers was
causing the original starter to lock up if I had to shut off the engine
after a drive of only about 15 minutes and then restart. Once I switched to
the gear reduction starter, I never had another problem.

Has anybody installed coil over shocks in the rear of their spitfire?
I'm looking for make and model number of units known to fit. Thanks!
Huw,
It is much more involved than that. If you install coil-overs, it is
assumed that you will be removing the leaf spring. Of

Joe is right - However I have been developing something for a while and now
just want to know if people have used coil overs in the back of their

If you have everything worked out, you can buy one of my shock mount

trying to find a coil-over shock to fit. The trouble with the normal

I've always been curious about the recommendations given in this
