Stefano, Lots of thanks for a prompt and detailed response. If, as you say, the SID is just a global index into the local label space of each LSR, then the statement PE1 pushes two label on the packet: the top one is 102 (for SID=102) is grossly misleading IMO, and should be changed. Regards,

Sasha, I did NOT mean to imply that this discussion in the MPLS wg should wait until the SPRING wg last call, on the contrary if the answer to my question is that this a domain wide label, then it has to be brought to the MPLS wg BEFORE this is adopted as a SPRING wg document. /Loa On
