Todd, Here is a program that I found last week that converts pdf to dxf files. the dxf can then imported into autocad and converted to dwg. it makes the drawing usable in autocad. when you download it you get 20 free uses . maybe worth checking out. It is called Aide PDF to DXF Converter 9.0.

Sprinkler Temperature Ratings, Table 6.2.5.1

2008-09-22 Thread bill . brooks
For the maximum ceiling temperature, Table 6.2.5.1 notes a 25 F differential for Intermediate to Ultra high heads and a 35 F differential for the Ordinary head. 1. Can anyone provide any information as to why 25 F is not used in all cases? 2. Wasn't 50 F used as a guideline for many years?

I have no idea how or why the current differentials were determined. However with the solder link sprinklers as you get close to the set point they experience a phenomenon called cold flow. Over time a sprinkler operated contentiously within 25 - 30 degrees of its set point would activate. With

Look at NFPA 13, 2007, 8.5.7, he may be looking at this as if it is a ceiling pocket. But in any case I couldn't find reference to a skylight smoke detector requirement unless it's being used for smoke control. The following excerpt is from the IBC, 2006 limiting the allowable area but also
