Ok, I see.
I wish to avoid to add the Spotify account into LMS Spotty.
If the players can be announced on the local network this

My PCs are on ubuntu 18.10. alsamixer has disappeared. I found an alsa
equalizer plugin

From my memory it went SlimServer -> SqueezeCenter -> Squeezebox Server
-> Logitech Media Server. (At least on Linux anyway)
Whatever :-)
Slimserver was the first server, for the SliMP3 player
The very first was SliMP3, like the player ;-)

Michael, thank you - on a very first glance, the update has helped and
LMS is running again. So again a Perl
Yesterday evening did some testing with spotty.
Used a spotify account, and set it up in LMS.
Then took another spotify, which was not in LMS.
With that one could connected to LMS spotty and play songs.
There was no trouble using it, without adding the account.

the music is on my PC which is in the spare bedroom, my router is also
next to the computer, but my hifi and speakers are in the living room. I
live in a flat, so the rooms are

To OP
You already asked this question didn't you?
Your amp has Airplay - try the AirPlay Bridge plugin first BEFORE the
upnp one - AirPlay is easy to set up uPNP one isn't.
Did LMS Web UI prompt you to do the restart as you clicked Apply?
If no - then implies a browser problem.
If yes - then perhaps the LMS logs will show something ... perhaps a
failure to download the plugin by LMS in the background. SSL issue?

Have ticked the box, applied change, restarted LMS but the plugin
remains resolutely in the 3rd party list, unticked
Is this possible? Thanks for any help you can provide.
In the web UI there's a pencil icon do edit the favorites, which allows
to create folders, too.

I have a bunch of favorite stations and songs. I'd like to create a set
of folders to organize my favorites in that section, but can't find a
way to do it. It would look like this:
Favorites (folder)
..Jazz (sub folder under Favorites)
..Punk (sub folder under Favorites)
Is this possible?

As I understand it, you still need a reliable LMS setup. Remind us -
where is your music stored?
LMS server: Pi Zero
Amp: Denon PMA-50
Players/Speakers: Touch, Logitech Radios, Sonos, Libratone Zipp, GGMM
E2 & E3, Yamaha

My squeezebox classic is bust, I think. I need to get it fixed, or try
something else.

After install, make sure amp is available on the network, go to the
Settings page for the plugin

Thanks
I can see the plugin under 3rd party plugins.
I tick that, then stop and start LMS.
But nothing changes - the plugin is still listed under

I've a new amplifier that supports uPNP and want to connect it to my
music library via LMS (7.9.1). But don't really know where to start.
When I select a uPNP input on the amp it immediately finds my router (a
TP Link) and goes on to display 4 sub-directories (Music, Videos,

How?
Maybe issue was on Tidal side?

Wasn’t it SqueezeCenter->Squeezebox Server?
Not sure, tbh. I thought "SqueezeCenter" was after the "Server" period,
when marketing considered that term too geeky. Changing to LMS was three
marketing teams later :-D
