Doubting Thomas that I am, I just had to try this. I added a new album to my library, I made up a new genre name for this album "testgenre". My Music/Random Mix had no genres selected. Did a scan for new and changed media files. My Music/Random Mix now has one item automatically selected . . .

First of all I'd recommend what you already know: fix your genres... Second there's a CLI command "randomplaygenreselectall 1" to select them all. That should allow you to select all genres without the limitation of the web UI. Michael http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins - Spotty,
