Hi Michael,
Thank you to everyone who replied. I have managed to get LMS
re-installed correctly.
It wasn't a straight-forward re-install, but eventually, it installed
without any complaint and is now functioning correctly.

Hi
I noted there was an updated version of LMS ready for download and
install. That was indicated on the LMS control panel. I carried out
the download and started the install when the install stopped and I got
the dialogue box as shown.
I retried the install but the same happened.
I then
Good Morning,
For the second morning I have tried to update and/or clean install LMS
on to my computer and the update and the clean install has been blocked
by my computer.
I have checked my anti-virus and that does not seem to be the source of
the block. (not listed in notifications)

I too have found that my Touch, which is the only player I was using,
was turning itself on/off at random times. I put this down to the age
of the Touch and the fact that the rear section has/had become sticky
which was affecting the connections, as they too had become sticky from
the breakdown

Good Morning,
I have now found the "flow" setting. I set the Transcode to Flac. In
my music library, I have a few MP3 tracks. Will they get played, or
will the bridge now only play Flac tracks? Would it be preferable to
set the bridge to pcm for example.
Also, to say that crossfade is
Good Morning Again,
Thank you d6jd for your reply.

Good Morning,
Thank you all for your replies. I am still experimenting to get the
best out of the new equipment.
What I can categorically say is there is nothing that comes close to a
Touch for versatility.
It's a shame that Logitech gave up on something that was way ahead of
the
Good Morning,
Thank you all for your replies especially Phillipe. The bridge is a
brilliant way to get LMS onto other equipment.
I have a small capacity Acer computer that supplies my music library to
my home network.
I now have a Cambridge Audio CXNv2 in place of the Touch, which I've put
Good Morning,
My Squeezebox Touch is, unfortunately, reaching the end of its lifespan.
It's been my main source of streamed music for many years now, from my
own music library, but the rear plug section is breaking down, requiring
frequent wipes with isopropyl alcohol to remove the stickiness
Hello To You Both,
Many thanks for following me through with this problem. I have now
removed local player from the plugins and the warnings have stopped.
I will try and inform Malwarebytes of this false positive.
Once again, many thanks, especially to Paul. At least you know what you
are
Hi Paul,
This is what I got when I clicked SqueezeSvr on the sub folders. I hope
thats correct! In any case, the trojan alert was activated and the
prinout was stopped as per screen grab.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your advice.
I have gone through everything on LMS but can't find an entry relating
to this.
I have not installed anything into LMS other than those offered on the
home site.
I will have another look and if I find anything, I will left evryone
know.
As I said before, I

Hello Paul,
This is way beyond my abilities on a computer. I am well over
retirement age and although I can find my way round a computer this is
above my pay grade I'm afraid.

Further to my enquiry, Malwarebytes indicates the following
C:\PROGRA-2\SQUEEZ-1\server\SQUEEZ-3.exe
It reports it's an outbound connection via Port 80
I.P. address 144.76.80.99
Now I'm afraid most of that leaves me struggling. I don't know how to
sort out the above information. I don't
Hi Well I don't know, is the simple answer.
When I start my computer, Malwarebytes blocks mpg123.de and it indicates
it is connected with LMS.
I have never had this before on any version of LMS I am running.
I can't see how this is connected to LMS.
I can see on a browser search that the site is
Good Morning,
Over recent days, when running LMS, Malwarebytes is blocking a site
associated with LMS as being a trojan.
The site it reports is mpg123.de as being a trojan.
I can't ascertain what relation this site is to LMS as I am blocked by
Malwarebytes and Bit Defender and I do not possess
Good Morning,
I sorted this problem out, firstly by clearing the cache in my
installation. I then deleted LMS from my media computer, when it still
wasn't working, as it should.
I then updated to the latest LMS release, which installed "Don't Stop
The Music".
The system works, as it did before.
Good Morning,
I started LMS today and went to my usual setting of random play -
songs.
I noticed immediately that LMS had selected only tracks from the last
two albums added to my music library.
I tried to clear the selections, but the moment I selected random play
again, the same tracks
Hi,
This comes down to something you have and use and think it's the norm
and only when it's not there, you miss it!
My computer system and my music have been down for a few months for
various reasons. Therefore my nightly updates were way out of date. I
know it shouldn't have made much
On the task bar, bottom right of the screen, there is an "up" arrow,
sitting next to the internet connection, on my computer. Hovering a
mouse pointer over that "up" arrow brings up a dialogue box called "show
hidden icons". Clicking the arrow brings up the "hidden short-cuts, or
'icons', as
I have re-installed LMS on my desktop as a trial and also the smaller
computer. The Administrator master setting is at level 2, as you
intimated, on both.
Everything went fine with the installs. Once installed I closed down
both of the computers and re-booted them. I tried to open LMS as an
Hello,
I have two computers I have sole use of. My desktop computer was made by
a company specifically for me; the other is a small footprint computer,
made for general use.
As the sole user on both, I am the administrator on both. I have the
sole accounts on both. Microsoft has locked them
Thank you both for your replies.
I had assumed I had set up my computer, with me being the administrator.
It hasn't been used for a few months though.
I hadn't encountered this problem with LMS before, but now there is no
way I can get it to run with me as the administrator. Yes it's working
Hi
I am running Logitech Media Server Version 7.9.2/r1555406898.
On previous versions, I have been able to run it as administrator and
the red warning disappeared from the top of the Logitech Media Server
control panel, but this version does not seem to allow a right click
