After last response to my original post, i gave up and have not used
Squeezebox Radio or Duet for several weeks. Out of the blue, today, it's
working and playing files from my music drive.:confused:

On Windows when LMS shuts down unexpectedly sometimes it produces error
which can only be seen on console output (e.g. a fatal error in some
library) - so try running LMS from a command prompt in a window which
has been resized to very wide and many lines high.

In my experience LMS 7.9.1 is quite happy to run if its music

"server.prefs" search for httpport which by default is 9000.

I wouldn't know how to do that, check or change settings. I don't know
how or why that would affect things though, as i said it is doing the on
two different PCs, running different Windows OS versions running LMS

I give up! I have tried several different versions of squeezebox server
since this problem started(has been working fine for the last year), did
clean installs clearing the registry
