LMS 8 nightly
It would be great if the Tidal ickstream plugin could support streaming
"Master" MQA tracks over 44.1KHz, as this current limitation makes it
fairly useless for me.

My new DAC SMSL D1se does display stream and resolution.
Tidal Master file are quoted MQA, but still in 44,1 khz !!
That would mean that i get word than a CD ...

Hoping this helps and does not confuse :)
In Buster and Bullseye it is at
Code:

How to change this mission figuration?
I must assume you're using piCorePlayer to run LMS? There's a "No MySB"
option. Make sure it's not enabled.
If that's not the case then you should probably tell us more about your
installation, operating system etc.

Yes i've checkt it.
You're running LMS in "no MySB" mode. The mysqueezebox.com tab is
missing from the settings. LMS is not talking to MySB in this mode,
therefore will not show plugins which require MySB like TIDAL.

As I understand due I selected in mysqieezebox.com Tidal I should be
able to select in the favorites Tidal 2.0, but I'm couldn't not. Am I
right with my assumption?

Download again 8.2.1 and reinstalled , no different.
Did you check the "inactive plugins" section, too? Can you provide a
screenshot of the plugin manager page?

Well, then I don't know .
To catch the attention of people it may help to start a new topic with
title "TIDAL plugin missing in LMS".

Hi - very new to LMS and iPeng. Ive searched and searched, but cant
seem to find the definitive on this: those above using qobuz, are any of

iOS device? When using qobuz app on device I can stream bit perfect

I'm telling TIDAL to send the best quality stream available to the user.
That's a value which is returned by TIDAL, on which I can't have any
influence.
I've added some logging to see what values we're getting there. And up
to this point I've only had "high" (lossy) and "lossless", but not
I've also made the change from Tidal to Qobuz because of hi-rez on Tidal
only being on MQA. Basically, since MQA isn't, and likely won't, be
supported in almost all of our scenarios, it just seems Tidal's a
non-starter for us and qobuz is a better option. Interested if anyone
has any different
I've switched to Qobuz and it works perfectly - the library integration
is great, hi-res comes down as hi-res and multi-room is more reliable
than I found with Tidal streams.

Yes it is (with a plugin) and works well. LMS 8 also integrates your
Qobuz favourites and playlists into your LMS
Tidal HIFI used to deliver (at least they claimed) CD quality audio. In
the past Tidal 'master' tracks where FLAC (lossless) compressed
24bit/96kHz files. Then MQA came into the picture, MQA is a proprietary
format to (lossy) compress the additional samples into the LSB bits of
the audio data.

Thanks - but I'm not sure you get that setting with LMS 8 and the Tidal
2.0 plugin, leastways I can't see it since I upgraded :)
Does the MQA limitation mean LMS will only play at 16/44.1, or does it
just restrict certain bitrates?
@SIXEYED
Which streaming quality have you selected?

I love the Tidal integration in LMS 8, it's brought my Squeezeboxes bang
up to date - great work :)
Although... Hi-res albums don't seem to come through at "master"
quality. I've tried 24/96 tracks from Tidal on a Touch and on a Pi with
pCP, and my DAC shows them playing at 16/44.1.
