Back to basics.
The OP has a problem with players which also happens when connected to
mysqueezebox.com
So there is one issue which is NOT LMS related.
If the OP can fix the players wireless playing issues - then they can
proceed to examining LMS issues knowing the players play OK.

is a Raspberry Pi 3. Most, but not all of my boxes are wired (also the

Fiddling with settings in LMS's browser interface, for some reason in
Advanced/Security I changed Block Incoming Connections to Block.
Now, of course, I can't get to the server with any of my players, and I
can't get back into the browser (or the pref panel) -- I'm blocked! ---

Daphile is very good. I ran it for a few years on an old HP micro
