I got the PM and all looks OK.
The all zeros MAC may be a red herring -

I'm out of my depth here, would that be because squeezelite is
Not successful, I had already done that, of course. The dotted circle
goes round and then the familiar message "can't connect (

your computer (

The same thing both in Touch and Duet.

This is getting a bit off topic.
SB_SERVER_IP is not in squeezelite code - so there is something else
which sets it up.
This where things get fuzzy.
On a Linux system with network, ethernet
I mainly listen to podcasts in my bedroom set up, raspberry pi running

This post is not about UPnP or which protocol is better. It is about the
future of LMS. The number of users is constantly decreasing and in, lets
say 5 years, many of existing squeezeboxes will give up their soul. And
what then ? Are we a community damned to slowly disappear ? Is there any
way

Was that a right click on the .exe and "run as admin"install?
I don't run LMS to start until I

What players do you have?

Although LMS started as a service on Win 7, I can't get it to do so on
Win 10. How did you do it?

It still surprises me that failing PSU (and probably aging hardware) can
cause problems that seemingly are not PSU related.
My current LMS server is running on a windows 10 pc. I want to shut down
this machine. So, I want to move LMS onto another machine. I don't want
to use another pc, as I want the more power efficient solution.
Electricity where I live is rather expensive.
I was all set to use picoreplayer on a

Me too.
I have seen plugins disappear (seriously) from the plugin page. Try
restarting LMS then refreshing your browser.
I think it has happened when a plugin is selected, then "apply", and
"restart later"
If one counts squeezelite software players, there are likely more LMS
users now than before Logitech dropped the hardware line over 10 years
ago.

For anyone having issues as mentioned in this thread (after starting
LMS, problems connecting or problems with Allow Access dialogs
appearing), please see my comments starting here:

Thanks. I'll give the picoreplayer a second look.

FYI
Apple Silicon has stricter code signing requirements vs. Intel.
These may help:

Don't think so.
I can't see any option which lets squeezelite choose which network
interface it is supposed to use.
Looking at the code - unless mac address has been defined

I am an Administrator and I installed LMS as Administrator. Any idea on
how I solve this?
