as the alarm adds to that quirkiness. However:

Thanks, but before your last reply I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
LMS. Something went wrong and I had to unintstall the service manually
but I am now up and running again.

Which is an excellent idea IMHO. I do that every time I've added or
changed some album or tracks (and no need to force anything, simply open
the album in the "Music Folder

I have now edited log.conf to change all ERROR levels to DEBUG and
restarted LMS in "safe mode". I have attached the resulting log. The

I have been using LMS on my WIndows 10 box for several years without any
problem and I'm currently running v7.9.1. However, after an update,
Windows has installed "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809" and,
incidently or not LMS will no longer start. When I try and start as a

Still can't explain the behaviour, but reverting to 7.9.0 (complete
reinstall via 7.7.6) seems to have solved the problem.
