Now that Ubuntu has released the ".1" upgrade to 20.04, is there any experience on running LMS on this? I have read alex.h's excellent start script (linked in a post above) which explains that the start-stop-daemon is discontinued in 20.04 and I wonder if anything has changed since, such as

Any update on this? I recently upgraded to Catalina and started having the same problems. After giving FULL DISC ACCESS to everything mentioned in this thread, I STILL can't run the latest nightly build and Does it not run, or does it not have access to your discs? -- Michael

For any future readers: I eventually wanted to remote control the stream via my phone so I started a Wireguard VPN on a Raspberry Pi: https://www.sigmdel.ca/michel/ha/wireguard/wireguard_02_en.html That was simpler and more effective than I'd figured. Works very well. Wouldn't recommend it to
