Here's a picture of my setup, Samba section of pcP on the left, windows
explorer on the right. You enter in the server name, and share name,
then use it to access it in windows. Be very careful - CASE SENSITIVE.
You will need to use the UN (tc) and set a pw.

SORTED IT!
I pulled the plug on the Pi, rebooted the PC & it resolved itself.
There was definitely something funny going on under the bonnet but I'm
not able to work out what it was.
Rescanning my music & hopefully I'll have some sounds again.

Is that Seagate drive shown in your first post the one you are looking
for? If so, try unmounting it, then mounting it again. Even if it
"looks" like it's mounted. Also, where are you keeping the LMS data, on
this drive, or your SD?

I stopped LMS, unplugged power from the Pi, connected USB drive, powered
up Pi & restarted LMS.

To do a quick backup of my music files, I pulled the USB cable from the
Pi running LMS 8.1 to plug directly into my PC.
After reconnecting to the Pi, I can't see my music files on the USB
drive in Windows Explorer or find them in LMS. I know they are there as
I can see them if the drive is
