Glad you fixed your problem. The method of deleting the expired
certificate described in Mark's link is much simpler and less
configuration-dependent than using the 'dpkg-reconfigure' command!

Thanks
I will check that thread
I have also tried the update from this thread to install openSSL 1.1.1

There is also this thread about removing and refreshing the certificates
on a ReadyNas to get rid of the expired LetsEncrypt certificate.
https://community.netgear.com/t5/New-ReadyNAS-Users-General/PSA-Expired-LetsEncrypt-Root-Certificate-Potential-Fix/td-p/2146534
I had not noticed that my LMS was not connecting to MySqueezeBox.com.
The steps above fixed it.

Not so much the old openssl or old Perl IO::Socket::SSL (v2.002). I have
not been able to find a way around that, yet.

So if logged in as root to the ReadyNas, what does this return?
apt list --installed |grep logitech
You should see only one listed, something like:
logitechmediaserver/now 8.2.1~1628312519 all [installed,local]

And what version of the ReadyNas OS6 are you running?

I was getting the ssl errors until I got rid of the lms_1.0.9_all.deb
package.
Now I can get add-on's , etc.

Run the following command as root to remove the expired DST Root CA X3
certificate. This is necessary for Debian systems running versions of
openssl before v1.1.0:

Code:

$ dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates

To find out which version of openssl you are using, run the following:

Code:

$ openssl version

This worked for me on my LMS RPi running Debian-8 and openssl v1.0.1t

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] NETGEAR ReadyNAS LMS install problems

2021-10-06 Thread NoRoDa

Hi

I have an Ultra4 and needed to install LMS 8.0.
So i did this:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS-in-Business/OS6-now-works-on-x86-Legacy-WARNING-NO-NTGR-SUPPORT/td-p/897021

That made it possible to upgrade to OS6 on my old NAS.

So no old version of LMS that I know of.
Problem is that due to something I don't understand, the LMS doesn't
appear on the "installed apps" list.
So I'm really not able to see anything about the installed version of
LMS.

But in LMS - settings - information I can see it.
Logitech Media Server Versjon: 8.3.0 - 1633117751 @ Fri Oct 1 22:38:05
CEST 2021
Operativsystem: Debian - NO - utf8
Plattformarkitektur: x86_64-linux

IO::SOCKET::SSL: 2.002
Databaseversjon: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)

Not shure what the next step should be?

Do you still have the 1.09 App installed ?
You would still see the Logitech Media Server control on the ReadyNas
app page.
Uninstall that and reboot and see if the problem goes away.
That version is where the error comes from, it has it's own old perl
stuff.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] NETGEAR ReadyNAS LMS install problems

2020-09-03 Thread peterbent55

I've been trying to install LMS on my Netgear ReadyNAS R214 by following
the on-line instructions but without success. I've downloaded the
package for ReadyNAS which is a .bin file, but when trying to install it
to the NAS I receive the message that only a Debian (.deb) file can be
uploaded to the NAS. Where do I go from here? I've tried other .deb LMS
packages but none seem to install on the NAS.
