If you take a look in all the lms Versions and its predecessors there is

No I don't think so - I haven't changed any plugins apart from updating
the UPnP/DNLA Bridge and this I did after this problem started.

When I do a scan using 'Look for new and changed media files' it is no
longer doing the 'opimise database' function.
Also it doesn't write anything to the scanner log, instead this is
written to the server log.

I can't see any errors in the log - it just doesn't seem to run the
optimization
