Right. So what we need is the SqueezeNetwork website code open-sourced.
To me, this is the difference between a mainframe/workstation-style

I don't. I'm not connected to SQN and see the same problem with Shoutcast
streams: no way to connect to them. Not even to those I have stoed in my
favorites and am listening to several times a week. OTOH I've been
listening to some RadioIO stream for more than 6h today.

implement a feature in the SB3 firmware to recognize that the
Slimserver is not available after a user-defined time out and switch to

What's up with that? This makes it more tedious time consuming. Why
can't the squeezebox just retain the network setting if it just
retrieved an IP via DHCP successfully 30 seconds to a minute ago (but
failed to connect to squeezenetwork)? And when I do a static IP,
squeezebox still loses
Now (using firmware V81) since the network problems of the last couple
of days, I have had to repeatedly re-init my network connection info.
I'd suggest you do a factory reset of the SB: unplug the power chord, hold
the ADD button on the remote while plugging in a again.

and i still haven't received my activation email. I've tried getting it
resent a few times now and still nothing.

I have heard that Nokias builtin browser crashes when calling some
functions of the squeezenetwork.com web site.
We might have the same source of information on this :-).

reproduce cause I don't have a wifi enabled symbian phone. But

SN Beta (now regular/production SN) has had the screen sizing issue for
a long time.
...and you didn't open a bug and insist it gets fixed? That's what beta tests

Personally I think it's best to post first in the forum, otherwise you

No need to add a new bug report if it's already been reported. But if you're

I have the same problem here. I also went through my profile to remove
anything that's not ASCII-7Bit, still it complains that it can't find
my account.

I've been a Pandora subscriber for about a year. I've just started
using Slacker (the free version), which seems to me a lot better.
Pandora plays artists that SOUND LIKE the artists you've picked and it
seems to have a very limited library since some songs repeat over and
over. Slacker
Regularly, at the end of a song, the transporter fully freezes: the
navigation through the menus works but no more music can be played and
the analog VU meter is frozen. The only way to restart is to fully
switch the unit off by unplugging the power cord (a simple OFF/ON is
not sufficient).
Love my duet, internet radio stations, slacker, rhapsody, etc..
Most of these services are driven by SqueezeNetwork. SC only proxies the
information.

Now it is showing strange behavior connected to SN. I cannot get from
the main menu items (favorites, music services etc) with the left arrow
key. The only function that works now is when I use the Favorites
button, it gets me to my favorite list and I can use that normally.

up - would it be possible to have a button on the SN page to launch a
little window with just the Now Playing info, which you could leave in

name. Not necessarily the same thing as file type.

My version 6.5.4 of the SS will under no circumstances find my very
active SB when the SB is connected to the SN. Why is that? Normal? or

You're talking about the SqueezeCenter Service enabler, right? I can
select either Start SqueezeCenter when I log in or Start
SqueezeCenter automatically when the computer starts and put in my
windows user name and password.
