Hi Willem,
If it's not on the main (notes) tab then I think it doesn't matter to have
more fields visible. As for editing water density I agree it makes sense.
The computer is not providing gospel. Same can be said of the time info
coming from the computer. It is critical for deco status but you
Shearwater published their approach for po2 > 1.6. Seems pretty
conservative and given their position in the market I suspect it would be
pretty agreeable to most people to follow their lead.

As for the layout, is there some way it could be user defined. Ie
parameterised and then the user decides what goes where. Either some config
file, or UI to select. This way we can define the most common layout, but
advanced users can customise
Regarding the colour coding of the text I somehow
Clean and simple is good, but not all who are using the manual data entry
are without a dive computer... many may have a computer or bottom timer but
not a download cable. I think that vis and water temp are pretty
fundamental attributes of the dive (some analog SPG also have temperature

that make sense to still show on notes. Air temp, Dive mode, suit. I’d be
happy to see moved off notes and onto info
Side note regarding equipment. I’d love to see a text notes field dedicated
for equipment. (On the equipment tab of course.

I think it would also be important to allow for customisation of the output
(font, colour, position, exactly which parameters to show etc).
