Hello,
Try setting triggering from internal generator:
https://wiki.elphel.com/wiki/Trigger_353
See the very 1st example. TRIG_PERIOD is set in 96MHz clocks (9600 is 1
fps)

Jan,
Just one last question - the frames do seem to be in sync now, but I
wanted to ask whether it’s necessary to have the same TRIG_PERIOD set on
both cameras in order for this to work or whether the TRIG_PERIOD doesn’t
matter for the second camera as it just waits for the signal high?
Ahh, so the middle two wires shouldn’t be crossed. No problem, thanks for the
clarification. I am going to get right on it and report back.
Have a great day,
Jan Blazicek.

Thank you very much Oleg, everything seems to be working, although it did
require a bit of fiddling. I had a couple of times where the slave camera
didn’t display any new frames, but didn’t stop responding either - things like
the histogram in the web CCI would suggest the frames were actually

Hi Jan,
In the second case TRIG is still 0, because as soon as I set that it stops
responding.
That's what happens when you set up external triggering but the signals are
not received for some reason.
Another way to test your cable would be trying the following settings:

Andrey,
Thanks for the quick response, before we decide to send it we would
like to take a hack at in house if that is ok, please let us know

Patric,
It is something different in your case - SATA shouid not be disabled (or in
conflict) if you do not have CF cards or internal HDD.

internal CF is always IDE master, CF cards master/slave depends on the physical

Hello Andre
We bought the camera from Sebastian Pichelhofer in Austria. Unfortunately he is in holiday and cannot help us. We have never been able to use the SATA port.

Hello Patric,
Our records show that this camera was assembled from the boards outside of
Elphel, so while each board was tested individually, we did not have a chance
to test the assembled camera. Do you know if the camera did work with SATA disk
before?

Hello Andrey,
we tested the camera the way you described. Here are the answers.
What camera is it? Does it have 10359 board? 10369 board? What software is it
running ?
It's the 10353. I tried this with the original software that was on
the camera, with the software compiled from the sources
Hello Viatcheslav,
We can send the new 10353 board to you, if you think you can disassemble the
camera and replace the board. In this case please ship us back the 10353
board, so we can test it and find the problem.
The other option would be to ship the camera back to Elphel, and we will

Viatcheslav,
there is another possible reason to break the image when you move the camera
d) it actually happens not because of the movement, but because of the
electrostatic discharge when you touch the camera
Can you please try these?
