Anyway, I opened SM's PW manager and deleted the entries for the old pair. I did not click to prevent future IDPW for Vonage. However, upon signing on to Vonage using the current IDPW, SM does not ask if I want to remember them - and will not call up any IDPW upon subsequent visits to Vonage. (In SM's Preferences/Privacy/Passwords/ Save Passwords is checked.) How can I get SM to save the IDPW? Install the Remember Passwords extension. It's still considered experimental, but it works fine for me. It's at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/remember-passwords/. Thank you for the excellent, and quick, reply. That extension worked fine for getting into my Vonage account. I also tried using it for my bank account (which has always required new ID PW entries each time) and it works there also. Handy but I did not object to that protection for my money. Vonage had not been difficult about saving the IDPW so I am curious why SM did not save the newer ones. A thought! In the panel below the Directions button, I now have a little tick beside the MapsGL enabled text, a small question-mark button that activates a guided tour of the new features, with a Classic button that enables a return to the old view if you don't like the new features. So my question is if I use Sync, will the end product reflect the data from my most heavily used pc, or will it somehow use the data from the less heavily used pcs? By default, Sync merges the data of all clients that use the same Sync account. However, for each client that you newly add you can choose to alternatively replace all data on the server with those of the client, or all client data with the server data (where data means the subset that is supported by Sync and selected for syncing). In other words, will sync allow me to select which profile to use on all pcs, or do I have to copy my favorite profile to each pc before signing up for sync. Sync is configured from within a running SeaMonkey (and thus attached to the profile that is active then). During Sync setup, this profile is then connected to a Sync account. This account can be shared across multiple profiles and clients (computers, mobile devices etc.). So if you have a favorite profile you'd start setting up Sync with that one and then set up Sync on all others that should share the same Sync environment (= account). A further complication.
