It's my overall subjective experience that SM reacts slowly (sometimes
more, sometimes less) in spite of sufficient PC resources.
Do others share that experience?
I'm using SM anyway due to its obvious other qualities for me as a
former Netscape user:-)

While working, for example saving a mail/news posting, SM will sometimes
for a while take more than 50% CPU; and even while idle will inbetween
take 20% CPU. During startup SM can take up to 98% CPU. It may influence
the CPU load that I use to have half
and used the fonts inserted the 'b' and it also shows
as in your google-chrome.png. If you'd like, I can send you a screenshot
from SeaMonkey 1.1.18 directly to include with your bug report.
Please do

Since SM 2 I've been unable to use a web site,

I've done some Google searches on how to manage fonts for SM under
Ubuntu but didn't find any useful clues.
Do I miss something on font handling for mozilla browsers?

This file is in fact a zip file containing 3 truetype fonts.
I've stored these fonts in the
~/.fonts and /user/share/fonts/truetype directories
of my Ubuntu 9.10 workstation
When I point
subject lines the mail body
display is very much delayed. It helps to quit SM and relaunch.
