hi my name is jim and im in the uk
i am looking at making biodiesel from fresh rape oil however here in
the uk fresh oil is not classed as biofuel and is taxed at the higher
rate of 47 pence per liter. if i were to use waste oil it would be
taxed at 25 pence per liter
my question is this.
I am just getting started and I would like to make alcohol as a fuel
source. (45 gal per week) I have spent 2 days sorting through 10,000
postings. And I have been to many great web sites but here are my
questions. 1) why not use solar energy to distill the alcohol. 2)
where is a cheap source

I'll check the specifics concerning applications for each type of
tungsten electrode in my welding textbook on Tuesday (I left it at
school), but here are the different types of electrodes and their
composition (as best as I can remember from the text, which I read about
six months ago.
Why haven't I heard any chatter about that new plant that ConAgra is
building in Missouri that turns any organic waste into oil and a few
other things. I got a URL off of one of the lists pointing to an
article in Discover Magazine , which I haven't found in google yet or
I'd put the URL
Good. Thanks, mark!

I;m not sure if I made myself very clear here- the study found that BD
100 comes out ahead in REDUCTION of greenhouse gases

Hello curtbigge,
You probably find most people on this list dealing quite
successfully with biodiesel, SVO and WVO. I will try
to understand what you want to do,

I have to disagree with the idea that all of the forests need to be
maintained using the idea of stewardship that you are espousing.

At one time I had the plans for a solar still. It was quite easy, and if I
could find a way to draw it from memory and get it into a net compatible
format, I would send it to you. But solar stills are possible.

Mark,
I don't think that we are talking about maintained in the way you are
thinking.
First and foremost, the forest should be 'reverted' ( for lack a better term
at this time ) back to a state, that would allow a more relaxed approach to
the type of management that you talk about. I think
I thought that I did make a comment on the subject, but, perhaps I was
agreeing with what was said about it.

Actually I think I may have been misinterpreted. The topsoil was not cooked.
It was gone. The clay subsoil was glazed. This was in Idaho. When will this
support life again? Time will tell but my guess is a very very long time.

If I remember, right, these robot mowers are smaller than many gas engine
powered mowers. I saw a few held up one at a time, and the largest was about
the size of the torso of the man that was holding it.

Yes, these are the studies. They help answer a lot of general
questions. Do you like them, and have you run into this info before?
Few people know about this study, and I think these reports are
incredibly useful tools for fuel/clean air/renewable energy
activists. Could you link them from
