Doug and Berend, This group has a good tradition for posting news, examples

constructive post and relevant to SVG it is OK.

Hi sn0wdon,
I think I can help you out of this. Firstly, the embed is a
reasonably solid object in IE5.5+, and it does not have to be placed
in an iframe, nor the div. Keep it simple, to start your work in
accessing info across iframes.
I have found iframes to be extremely powerful and stable

When I programmed in Flash, the community stuck together, here it seems we

Shame we dont have a site like www.flashkit.com where we have tutorials,

With due respect to all parties involved in this discussion, I think the

It would be safe to say that it's next to IMPOSSIBLE to ensure color

Several reasons:

hi peter,
get and set methods (esp. getFirstChild(), getTarget(), etc.) are old
methods introduced by ASV in order to work as a plugin in NN4. they are
just outdated and that's why they do not work in FF.

I started looking at Firefox with native SVG enabled. The following

I have been asked how reliable color rendering

Can one say that colors (including xlinked images)
rendered by ASV will look exactly the same on different
machines/browsers ??
