Looks great!
I love buttons, which allows to choose type of created layer. All the
rest is also very cool!
The only issue I have noticed: when I have started the new version for
the first time, the Opacity slider was set to 0.0, so created Circle
was invisible.

In fact, when playback takes place in Preview Window, the playback in
the canvas should be disabled. Let's leave this as is for now and fix
later.

Please let me know the commit/branch and the OS (which Linux distro).
In most cases such things happen in the dirty working tree, so
cleaning up and rebuilding from scratch might help. ^__^
