Finnish Discus Thrower Timo Tompuri had a great performance in
Helsingborg, Finland on Sunday. The 32 year old Tompuri threw 69.62 (228
ft. 5 in.)This bettered his own PB 65.13 with 4.49 m, and the 22 year
old Finnish record (Markku Tuokko) with exactly 1.50 m.

The competition was held in Helsingborg in SWEDEN, not in Finland. Timo had
great weekend. On Friday first in natiolans and then new Finnish Record on
Sunday. He started discus throwing at the age of 26, so he's caree is only 6
years young.

Oops. Of course it's Helsingborg, Sweden. The venue is b t w known for
it's excellent wind conditions, which might explain Tompuri's result to
some part. But the guy's been very consistent this year so he might be
considered as a dark horse come Edmonton.

Will Croghan make one last shot at the record or are his best days behind
