Sad news from the world of disabled athletics, wheelchair racing
specifically. Nick Katsounis, race director of the North American 10km
Wheelchair Championship, founding member of the Long Island Association
of USATF and tireless agent for disabled athletes, passed away suddenly
on January 19th.
Once again track gets bumped on TV. The Maryland Elite meet was
scheduled for 1-2 pm, but we get stuck with Temple/UMass basketball. On
ESPN2 they're in the 2nd hour of motocross.
