Hi Netbat,
Well, I must admit to being a little squeamish about expecting Window-Eyes to
unload the instance running in the default user account and then running it as
administrator.
I simply think it's best to unload first and then load it as administrator.
With respect,
Rod

if you are useing w e 9x you don't have to unload w e before you open the
context menu.
just open a context menu on the w e icon and click on run as administrator.
w e will unload automatically and reload as administrator.

Hi Tom and Bob,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the goal was to run Window-Eyes as
administrator in order to change the startup option.
If I am right here, then one would focus the desktop Window-Eyes icon, close
down Window-Eyes using Ctrl-Insert-F4 and Enter, press the Applications key
The Application key is left of the right control key. It's just a
replacement for Shift-F10, which works everywhere on my system.
Either should open a context menu. Properties is the item you want. It
should be the last item in the list. So if the menu opens, try just
arrowing up once.

sites don't support it any more. Development ended years ago and it's a
security risk.

Hi Bob,
The icon on the desktop is the one to focus on rather than the one on the start

Yes, I used key describer in W E and found the applications key.
I go to the W E short cut on my start menu and use either the applications
key, or shift F 10, but it does nothing.

Okay, sorry I'm popping in in the middle of this. Do you have a regular
keyboard? If you do, it's on the righthand side, between the alt and the
control. Pam.

Tom,
Why uncheck run as administrater when done?
Running Windows 10
Latest Window-Eyes

I have a heck of a time finding the place to log in.
Always before, for several years, I didn't have to log in.
I'd bring up mlb.com. Then I'd put in a URL that someone gave me. I have a
new hard drive and can't find that URL.
