I think the suggestion to use the laptop’s “FN” key is on the right track.
There is a way to swap the functions so that to use the function keys directly
without the need to press “FN” with them. If you have a customer support number
for Lenovo you might give them a call and get help with this.

I wonder if on your lenovo machine, the f keys are defined by default
to provide various multi media functions.
Is it possible that there is a fn key which when pressed in
combination with say f10
will give you the function you might expect from the f10 key,
i.e. I am suggesting that

When you hit SHIFT+F10 with the zipped file selected, look for Extract All in
the menu that comes up. If that doesn't work, move the mouse onto the file and
simulate a right click.

Thanks to several of you who advised yesterday about unzipping files.
However, my Lenovo Yoga laptop has no application key and Shift F10 did
not give me options dealing with unzipping files. I'm guessing there is
a workaround for the application key but I can't find that information
