What search box near the top of the page? It looks the same to me as it
always did, and it says weather underground, even though the link I got was
braille wunderground. The thing for finding the weather in any city or
state is after all the weather forcasts and stuff. If that's the box you
I sure hope that someone can refresh my memory on this one.
Let me just say at the outset that all of the usual suspects for saving
settings have been tried, at least to my knowledge. I even tried saving
settings to set files as I went along, but to know avail.
I believe that someone gave
Hi, Folks. Yes, there are some Window-Eyes holdouts, so here goes. I

Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao

Hi list,
I am using a win7 pc and WLM. I have forgotten how to save an email in the
“save” directory. I do know how to save to my hard drive. However, there have
been a couple of emails of late that I would like to save in the WLM saved
messages directory.
Thanks for your gracious help!
I may have missed the beginning of this discussion, but I will give you some
suggestions for saving settings in Window-eyes:
First of all, Make sure that in the keyboard settings that you have selected
the layout that you want. I always use the Window-eyes default layout.
After selecting this,
Hi there Scott and Group!
The battery has never been much of an issue with me, and I agree that
the time and energy should be placed in phone improvements. I guess
they could make higher capacity batteries, that would elliminate the
need for replaceable batteries, but I really do not think
Run Thunderbird, that should do it.

Thank you Net bat for the info. I went into the jaws control panel but
was unable to get the progress indicator to work. It is set to give
progress every 5 seconds. Even though it is set to do so it won't work.
Never had this problem with win-eyes. Thanks Rick
Hi,
Does Jaws 18 have a progress indicater?

How do you know it didn't work, with Thunderbird open, go to the
Window-eyes control panel. Select apps and move down the list, TB

I find with Jaws it does not always read the progress status all the time.
We was very spoilt with window eyes that just did it for us.

So if you don't use a screen reader for work how stable is NVDA for
general internet and e-mail use? Because I don't receive a lot of
e-mails, I don't share with the list many of the issues most of you seem
to have (ie multiple folders and address b.ooks). I use Thunderbird -

Jeff, Sorry about the rather delayed response.
As for the layout, I am using the default. The only setting I am
interested in making on a global level is the speak characters setting,
and this setting will not stick, no matter how I go about saving it.
I know that I succeeded, all be it
What do you mean by the speak characters setting? Could tell us what
exactly you did to change that setting?

i think this is the keyboard settings.
but you can cycle through these settings with insert and number 2 (not on the

When I go to braille.wunderground.com, I get, what I think is the same
layout you get if you simply go to wunderground.com. At least this was
the case as of yesterday. I no longer have the search box near the top
of the page.

Hi carol
I wonder if you can help me,
I'm noticing that sometimes whenever I downloading something from the
internet such as a program, with the Mozilla, it remains in it's library.
So can you explain to me what I should do to make the Mozilla download them
in to the download folder please?
