Hi Don,
The following passage from the manual explains what the Update outdated
button in the Factory Settings dialog in the WE control panel does:

When selected, this button will cause Window-Eyes to determine which
installed set files are out of date and
I noticed in the we control panel, there is a choice to update outdated

Should I do this?

Hello Mr. Smith, Charlie here, another Window-Eyes user, do you have the
proper setfiles installed for office? Window-Eyes won't work very well
unless you have the proper set files installed. What version of office are
you running? ...2007, '10, '13, or '16?

I am not aware of any keyboard shortcuts in Word that allow you to navigate to
the next or previous column. Window-Eyes does have a next line/previous line

Hi David,
My guess is your document, as it came from the web, has been blocked from
full editing.
If you open its properties fromits parent folder, in the General tab you
should be able to use the mouse pointer to click Unblock to release the file
and then click Ok.
This should enable full

I have Word 2010, Windows 10 and Window-Eyes 9.4.
I can press alt for the home tab and then tab to font. I can then arrow down
through a list of fonts, or I can tab to size, and again, arrow through a list
of sizes. I can also just type what I want in the edit boxes.
Instead of using the menu,
Naomi, if you are using Office 2007, then you only need to press the
'context menu key'. Then you simply arrow through till you get to

I just tried this and all worked fine. I am using W.E.9.4 on a
Windows 10 system.
After doing the upgrade to win10 make sure you install 9.4 over itself and then
go to apps/diagnostics/repair windows 10 display driver and see if that helps.

Probably not relevant, but how are you deleting the trash messages? Are
