I read in a indow-eyes tutorial that tabbing beyond the options in the 
Navigation pane, takes you out of that field. Hadn't realised however that alt 
n wasn't just a WE keystroke.

It may not make a sound when you're in another program. But when I 
download something it reads the notification area just like Window-Eyes 
does and it says "Alt-N." And Alt-N is an IE command to focus the 
notification area. I then tab through the buttons just as I do with 
Window-Eyes.

Then it usually loses focus, which it seems to like to do.

Jaws does speak out options that I have not heard from Window-Eyes for a 
long time.  If I hear something different, I typically will press alt-n 
just because it has become second nature to me to do so.
