i totally agree with you, enough is enough. this list is for helping
people if they are having problems with window eyes not for speculation as
to what or what may not happen with it, all the best, john.

This is getting really old and quite boring. All that is happening here is
rampant speculation and scare mongering by a few people who either work for
JAWS or have so little to do with their lives, they find this amusing. It
looks like a full on campaign to undermine Window -Eyes with nothing in the
way of evidence to support the conjectures. And FYI, developers age and
retire. People move on to other jobs, get promoted and sometimes leave the
industry altogether. It doesn't mean they can't be replaced by equally
talented individuals.

If you want to talk about rationality, don't make assertions unless you have
proof to back it up. Sorry but comments like some unknown person said so in
a forum or where particular links may or may not lead isn't evidence. Now if
you have a press release or company statement, I'll be happy to listen
further.

Finally, it is quite telling that these rumours all come from the same few
people. What does this suggest?

There are 3 options to check out: Narrator on Windows 10, NVDA, and

Hi Chris. Its Sky here. I will tell you guys that, even before the office
version of Window-Eyes came out, their were even lies told by venders about
it. For example, some of the venders would say Window-Eyes was going bust,
or that it isn't good, etc, etc, etc, and those factors has never helped
Window-Eyes flourish at all.Even the blind institutions, like CNIB, etc,
would tell lies about Window-Eyes too. I remember a list member telling me
he had a blazing argument on the talkx email list with a vender and the
vender told him their was no favouritism regarding JAWS and other screen

They may not legally be able to at this point. There may
be legal things that might prevent them from making announcements before
the date that has been decided. One of the VFO staff isn't going to
come on here and go s guys, we're killing Window-eyes but don't tell
anyone. They're going to make an official announcement. I am going to
wait and see what that announcement says, how they plan to take their
next action and what they decide to do. If Window-eyes operates on my
system, which it clearly does, it's not dead. VFO hasn't made an
official announcement that it is so in my book, that means it's still
alive even if it might be in the short term. We shall wait and see. The
announcement might not even happen for another year. None of us knows.
I suppose the speculation will continue until it's time for them to make
an announcement.

Until then, we're going round in circles. i propose ignoring all
speculation and window-eyes is dead announcements from non-VFO staff.

It always amazes me when smart folks (like on this list) prefer a fanticy
instead of reality. There is absolutely no reason for Window-Eyes to
continue and compete with JFW. Why would they do that?

There are 3 options to check out: Narrator on Windows 10, NVDA, and
VoiceOver. So, get real and get to work.

I suppose those of you who believe that Window-Eyes will stay around also
believe that the health care bill that passed the House last week will

everybody as promised by Trump instead of leaving 24 million folks without
any health care.

I agree/. And even if they say as an example only in one year we will no
longer support WE I'm sure they will give a discount on Jaws maybe those
that knock Jaws should at least try it with an open mind. If you used it

legal things that might prevent them from making announcements before the

They're going to make an official announcement. I am going to wait and see

So maybe listers should consider sending a copy of their messages on
this list to the VFO customer service or tech support or Doug or anyone
else in the organization and see if they react or respond?

It always amazes me when smart folks (like on this list) prefer a
fanticy

instead of reality. There is absolutely no reason for Window-Eyes to
continue and compete with JFW. Why would they do that?

There are 3 options to check out: Narrator on Windows 10, NVDA, and
VoiceOver. So, get real and get to work.
