Re: WE and Office 2016

2018-01-24 Thread Carol and Roger via Talk

Hi Steve,

I have been playing around with Word and labels with no success. One
thing I did notice is that WE would not speak when I tried to paste text
into the box. I put an address in WordPad and copied it to the
clipboard and tried to paste it into the box. It would not speeak. The
box also said nothing when trying to navigate it. It would seem to me
that if the text did not paste, the box should have said blank as I
moved around in it. I think I will try contacting Microsoft to let them
see if they can help me. I will let you know what they say.

As a work-around, you might be able to type the address in a document and
then select it. Microsoft might populate the "to" field with the selected
address, although you might not be able to determine that until you print
the label if this is left over from the old bug. This was the case with the
envelope addressing dialog. You probably would not need to copy and paste,
it happens automatically if this works similarly. Don't get me wrong, you
shouldn't have to do it this way, it should work and we need to figure out
why it isn't working, whether it is Window-Eyes or a Microsoft bug.

Hello,

I need to print a label. I can go to the settings and choose my wanted
label. I can choose which label prints and where it is on the page.
The problem is that I can not get WE to read the information in the to
label box. It simply does not speak and the box does not show up with
the mouse keys. The mouse keys report everything else I need except for
the address. Are there settings I need to change in Window-Eyes for
Word 2016? Thanks.

Re: WE and Office 2016

2018-01-24 Thread Carol and Roger via Talk

Hi Steve,

I treated making labels the same as I would have in Word 2007. I pasted
the address I needed to make the label for into the open word document.
I then put the person's name in the line above the address. I then
selected all and copied it to the clipboard.

Next, I pressed alt-m, l to open the mailings and label group. Normally,
the address shows up in the address box. It was not there, so I pasted
it in. It was still not readable.

I then went to options and made sure the correct label format was
selected and entered on OK, in case there was a problem with the label
size. The label was the correct one. The information was still not in
the address box. I erased the data from the address box and then went
back to the Word document where I copied the information again and went
back to the labels settings again. The information did not appear in
the box automatically, so I pressed ctrl-shift-w to read the screen
contents. The information was not there, either. I pasted it into the
box again and pressed ctrl-shift-w again and the data still did not
appear. This time, I printed it out anyway. The label printed, but was
not spoken.

Dear List:

I am using window-eyes. When reading emails, something has changed. When I
open a message it says: message html. Column 1 of 1 web layout. Click here
to download pictures. To help protect your privacy, outlook prevented
automatic download of some pictures in this message. I discovered it also
removes the body of the message as well. When I copy the message to the
clipboard and then read the clipboard, the message is there. Otherwise, all
the email contains is hyperlink entering and leaving table stuff. Thanks for
any ideas. Regards: Ted Larson

Re: office 2016

2016-05-25 Thread Amanda Lee via Talk
It takes awhile for the installation to run and depending on your internet
download speed it may seem longer than you'd prefer. Just be patient.

To find the individual applications, go to All Programs in Windows Seven.
If you don't find an app, it should be similarly located under Windows Ten.
Find the program and send a shortcut to your desktop and assign applicable
shorcut key.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Not sure what if anything your missing, but you are not the only one
with MS Word working very slow with WE 9.2.

Although, I am using MS Word 2010 in Win 7. Paging Up or Down, and even
Allowing down a line at a time can be slow slow slow.

Also the Spell Checker does not always read correctly.

I have actually started using JART as my Word Processor. It seems to
work quickly, and does everything I need.

Sorry, can't tell you what is the problem, but at least on my system, I
was experiencing the same kind of slowness, to the point I switched to
something else.

Of course! !!!WE always has updates, and I'm sure that AI Squared will find
a way to work with touch-screen stuff.

Also I would like to know if there will bea new update to Window eyes.
Also will the office version be kept up to date. Tdue to my finances I cant
afford to purchase upgrades to Window Eyes so I am going the Office route as
I have three PC's that I use on a daily basis which all have office 2013 on
them . Also will there be support for office 2016 as well with the next
release of Window Eyes. I also would like to see window eyes support touch
as the next version of windows and office will be supporting touch and your
competition is taking advantage of it and I would like to see Window Eyes
also take advantage of it as well. Also how about OCR support for those
pain in the neck scanned pdf images which some of us get and have to figure
out ways to get that in an accessible format. How about implementing features
like this. Also how about giving a method for filling out forms with the
standard version of Adobe pdf reader or whatever the latest version is
called. I hope that my suggestions will be implemented into the next few
releases of Window Eyes.
