Hi Richard, Vector background layers in P2.2 are _much_ improved over earlier versions. I've just downloaded one of your NHD .zips, extracted a file from it, hosted it locally (http://127.0.0.1/~richard/osm/01010003_nhdwbhi0.xml, that sort of thing), and imported it into P2, and it's very happy

Hi James, I've been checking some of the imported data and my general feel is that it is overdigitized. I don't know if medium versus high reflects just the quality or the amount of digitization. That would be something to check. One could also just run some sort of simplification algorithm
