I would also be interested, virtually or even real meeting. ;-)

I also found Julien Radoux' talk very interesting. We should definitely
seize this opportunity to improve our data. Unfortunately I missed Julien
Minet's talk.
I'm interested in participating online in such a meeting.

Hi,
We would have loved to have a landuse-mapping debate during Foss4G, it
didn't really happen though. There were two very cool presentations about
landuse mapping though, by Julien Minet and Julien Radoux.
You can see Julien's presentation here [1]. It does a nice job of
summarizing the state
Thanks,
so far I never put barrier and landuse on the same object.
I have put barrier on the way and created a multi-polygon relation
with that way for the landuse. I've read about this approach from some
long time mappers.

The way I did there (see the changeset:

) is to tag barrier=fence the ways delineating the meadow (so the polygon
is tagged as landuse=meadow + meadow =agricultural + barrier=fence).

I have some additional questions regarding landuse=meadow mapping.
You can see it as a continuation of my longer post a few weeks ago in
Dutch on landuse/landcover.
Where does the landuse=meadow ends ?

Is the ditch part of the meadow ?

I would use landuse=meadow, which I believe is the standard way to map it.
Furthermore there are the tags:

If it is known, indicate the process that protects the meadow status.
If the meadow is retained by environmental factors, add
I'm starting mapping landuse in the South of Belgium and I don't know the
proper way to tag meadows/pastures, being grazed or hay meadows. In
Ardenne, a large part of meadows are permanents: there are there for
decades, especially for grazed meadows that can hardly be ploughed (because
Ruben, bedankt, ik zal wetland gebruiken en de bestaande mapping aanpassen
Thanks Ruben, I'll use wetland and adapt the existing tags.

Hallo,

Recentelijk ben ik hier en daar wat landuse beginnen corrigeren of wat
extra detail beginnen toevoegen. Ik vind het niet zo eenvoudig om
alles mooi te classificeren.
Hoe zouden jullie bv
