Il tuo esempio è una ferrovia abbandonata con le ex-stazioni ferroviarie come nodi. Cosa che mi sembra corretto, anche se ci sono opinioni diversi come farlo. Io, per esempio ho utilizzato per una cosa analoga una site relation, che mi sembrava più adatta: ex-ferrovia Treviso-Ostiglia.
