Re: Another head scratcher

Nope, right now I am using Defender, and am at present running the
Microsoft malicious software removal tool. Might have to install AVG or
something. I can't afford every virus protector and malware program in
the world . Don't worry, wont be using Mcaffee, or Norton for
that matter.

I was using Avira for a while, back when I first got my Dell but got
tired of being bugged to buy it.
No, I'm not one of those that believes that everything can and should be
free, that sage advice that goes roughly like "you get what you pay for"
I think is at least for the most part true, but trying to decide which
one should put one's full faith and trust in is a real challenge.

Ah yes, I did use the paid version of Nod32 for about a year, but it
didn't stop a virus that ultimately resulted in a visit by my 'puter to
a local hospital, so I felt a bit humiliated after touting it to some of
my friends. But hey, any virus protection program can be stumped, I'm
sure at any given time. Just hope I can get to the bottom of whatever
this is.

Thanks,

Larry

It ccould be a hack. What virus are you using? Hopefully not Mcaffee.

Has anybody had this happen to them recently?

For some reason, starting back on Thursday, tthe day I reset IE11, I
have noticed that my history is loaded with sites that I know I haven't
visited. I mean like anywhere between 50 and 70 at this point. What in
the heck is going on. Am I being hacked by chance? Or, am I getting
unnecessarily worried. This looks pretty serious to me.

Any ideas,

Larry
