Hi MAU, I didn't know that. And I think that my 'conviction that TB didn't generate any' at least proves that I have never seen any *.tmp files left over in any of my mail folders. Not even while testing Betas. Maybe because I have never allowed any antivirus to fiddle with my mail folders?

Hello Peter, I know nothing about the antivirus since I have none. Maybe you don't use compress or never had TB! crashing while compressing, hence never saw tmp files. I run Maintenance every night (Purge and Compress) on my whole message base, several accounts with some 500 folders. --
