Hello Tbbeta, I used to have an IMAP account with my university, all messages were cached in The Bat (v4 at the time). Even after I quit that university and didn't have access to this account anymore, I could still read all my messages in The Bat. Now I am at v5, and am trying to read

Hello Carsten, How can I access these messages? And what is this, that they stay on the hard drive but are not shown in TB v5? I hope this isn't true for you but, with IMAP, TB! only has a cache of the messages on the server because the server has the 'master' copy. This is unlike POP3

Hi Tony, I know very well how IMAP works :-) However, the server couldn't tell TheBat that the messages were deleted, because access to the server was denied the minute my account got deactivated. The scenario you describe would happen if the account was still active, but the folder contents
