HTML Images wrong?

2007-06-28 Thread Steven P Vallière
When I send HTML formatted messages containing embedded images to friends, especially (but not limited to) friends using Thunderbird, they see all of the HTML text and a collection of attachments. They don't even see markers where a missing graphic belongs, as is normally done when an image

Recv Mail Hangs Periodically

I'm not sure just how to report this on the bug tracker, so I'm starting here... TB 3.99.8 works great for a while, around 3-4 days. After that, the connection manager hangs as soon as it starts to download a new message. Restarting The Bat! does *NOT* fix the problem, but rebooting does. To

Saving Window/panel layout

2007-05-04 Thread Steven P Vallière
One of the recent versions (one of the 3.98.'s but I'm not sure which) seems to have decided that my folder panel is not wide enough and every time the program starts, the width is set nearly double what I want. I've searched for a way to tell TB to save my window/panel sizes, but it just won't.

This morning, when I arrived at work, this strange error from automatic backup was on my screen. Just how BAD an error is it when The operation completed successfully? Just FYI, I included the properties for the backup drive to show that there's more than enough space (my current AutoBackup.tbk

Check for update broken in 3.85.02?

2006-11-26 Thread Steven P Vallière
I've been rather busy with other things for a while and recently noticed that my copy of TB hasn't notified me about *ANY* of the updates since 3.85.02. And yes, I do have the option to include beta versions enabled. I just manually checked (since TB only checks at boot which can be weeks or

I've submitted entry 6055 on the bug list as a feature request for the following: While I've figured out a way to simulate this using filters, it would be much better if a folder's properties contained some folder-specific overrides for attachment settings. Especially the location for saving them

Because different email software authors have different ideas on how to prefix replies (i.e.: * some add one re: and no more * others always ad an additional re:, sometimes resulting in subjects like re: re: re: re: News * and some, like TB, use a numbering scheme such as re[3]: )
