I have a Wireshark trace on this and it appears that the server sends a TLS Encrypted Alert 21 which would appear to be 'Decryption Failed'. I am now pretty convinced that it is a TLS error because I've now connected using the standard IMAP port and have not had this problem for over 45 minutes
