Re: The Bat! 5.0.8.1 (BETA)
Rick: > copy a few messages to a temporary folder. Thread them. Now try to break the > thread > and watch what happens to the lower message - IT DISAPPEARS How do you break the thread? I can see messages disappear only if I shift-drag a message on itself (it doesn't even have to be threaded, it happens with a single message too). To unthread a message or a subthread, I shift-drag the message down below the last message of the list, on the empty space of the message list pane. It un-threads correctly. -- Luca - e-mail: p.stevens at linuxfan.it Current beta is 5.0.8.1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: Virtual folders are working finally in 5.0.8.1?
Hello Marek, Monday, April 18, 2011, 1:06:31 PM, you wrote: > Hello, > since 5.0.8.1 all virtual folders are updated for me correctly, anybody can > confirm? Can not confirm. I am running 5.0.8.1 and my virtual folder unread counts are always wrong. Also, my tabs don't work. (Aren't tabs really just virtual folders) The tab for attachments seems to work, but none of the tabs I have created work (they worked OK on previous release 4.) They do not show all the contents of the folders I selected, some show no contents, some only show ONE item where there are over a 1000. (sorry) This whole release bafflers me. How could basic TheBat functions that worked so well in release 4 be so badly broken in release 5? Was this a complete rewrite? If so, it should have be release as a new product under release 1. Then I could understand all the bugs. But to go to a upgrade release and have so many basic functions not working is just too weird and shows a real lack of discipline. Sorry to vent a little here, but I am really frustrated. All the basic, really neat features that I use are broken in release 5.0.8 and nothing was fixed for me 5.0.8.1. Thebat hangs every day. No exception, just hangs. I never once experienced a hang in ver 4. when it hangs, there is no log info I can give to the developers to help them debug. Is there some secret flag I can turn on to try and gather some logging info to help them? -- Best regards, Joe Current beta is 5.0.8.1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: The Bat! 5.0.8.1 (BETA)
Hi Maxim, up and running. Rethreading still does not work (wasn't this brought up weeks ago?). Thread mark as read still does not work correctly. I mentioned this already two times... It works when you only mark unread threads (which means the first message has to be unread). But it does not work when you first mark a read thread and then several unread threads. -- Regards, Martin The Bat! v5.0.8.1 (BETA) powered by Windows 7 6.1 Build 7601 Service Pack 1 ConCarne cooks best since 1998 http://www.concarne.org smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature Current beta is 5.0.8.1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
