Although not having been confronted with this problem. I think it is a nuisance which should not be. Hello Martin, >> @Maxim ... it would really great if you could implement an option >> to remove that user password setting inside the Bat. > I don't understand your whish - see above. I don't use OTFE. And after using the Bat with login password awhile, I changed my mind. I then preferred to start my PC with all startup programs, including The Bat, which also should, while I was not at my desk, getting all mail that is waiting at the mailserver. So, that, when I come to my desk, I could start at once reading and replying mail. And to actualize it the way I wanted it, I had to do that removal/installing thingie from scratch again and then let TB restore parts of my backup. Just to get rid of the login password that time-eating work of removing/reinstalling TB has nerved me too much. It should be possible that, after being identified through a correct login with password, to remove that setting, eventually by giving the password one more. -- Kind regards, Gunivortus Goos Current beta is 8.7.0.14 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Once TB is running, I did neither find nor got a solution offered to remove that in TB. I had to remove TB and all its left folders, registry entries to get completely rid of TB - that was not easy! - before I could reinstall it without a login password. @Maxim ... it would really great if you could implement an option to remove that user password setting inside the Bat. -- Kind regards, Gunivortus The Bat! Missing The Bat in Action
Hello The, Somehow, on my main machine, I created a situation where I cannot log into the Bat. When the screen opens it asks for the User Name and Password. When I enter this information for an email account, it claims no such account exists. So, I am shut out. The good news is I have IMAP accounts so I have been able to set up another client - Thunderbird. Let's just say, Thunderbird, does do the job. One of our colleagues suggested removing everything (registry keys, account etc.) and then doing a clean install. I tried that and it did not work. Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Is there a registry key that I don't know about that could fix the problem? My files are located on separate drive from the program if that is helpful. I welcome any all advice. Thankyou. Jerry -- Best regards, Ethan J.
