Ritlabs SecureBat! - suggestions
Hello Ritlabs SecureBat! developers, I'm using Ritlabs SecureBat! Version 1.53bis/iKey1000 Serial Number 0266E-08A55 under Windows 98 4.10 Build A . There are some features I would like to see in your program: A hot-key assigned to Show/Hide connection center. Some people, like myself, may have connection center always on hide. When there is a problem (For example, I can't close the application when it's trying to connect to a mail server that cannot be reached), I have to: 1) Go to Options - Preferences 2) Select Always from the list. 3) Hit OK. 4) Hit Abort. Then, when the problem has corrected itself, later, go through the same process to hide it once again. A Show/Hide toggle shortcut would make this process *much* easier. Unless, of course, I've overlooked an existing shortcut? Re: unacceptable cookies
Hello Thomas, (T == "Thomas") [EMAIL PROTECTED] accounted: T I don't think the tagline was offensive, but that's the deal with T moderated lists: if the moderates feel it was, then that's it. Those T members who did find it offensive will not post their opinion here; so T never mind how many people say it was OK, the mods have spoken. sigh IMVHO, I didn't think it was necessarily offensive, but it was pretty bold for a public discussion list. People see things in different light, and the very nature of this list -- as Allie mentioned, multi-cultural -- means there's a lot of room for the mincing of the English language. The 'm-word,' I'll call it, isn't something you'd blurt out in public -- as far as the US is concerned -- or, at least *most* people wouldn't. And, the fact that he mixed that word with that particular phrase, well, I would think that would surely qualify as offensive quite a few minds. As for mincing of the English language: just the other day, someone on another list announced, "I'm from India, for all you racists out there." The first time I read it, I was _very_ offended. Then I realized that he didn't realize the meaning that word carries in the English language. Soon after, he realized what an embarrassing mistake that was. If there was a single reason that one should think twice about those types of comments -- especially when it's phrased in such a way that the author _knows_ without a doubt what it truly means -- the above example would be it.
