I'll be back home on my PC (with the beta version) on Tuesday night.
In the meantime, I have tried crtl-right on my lapptop with v8.*, and
it does work (I have used crtl-] forever and never knew about
crtl-right).

So, if others confirm that crtl-right works, this is a non-issue and

I am not at all familiar with keyboard shortcuts because I am mouse
oriented and hardly use them. But I have checked and here the shortcut
for moving to next unread is Ctrl+Right, and it does work.

Funny enough, the way the toolbar shows each time I start TB! is not consistent. What is consistent though (at least over here) is that it never shows the way I last configured it.

It is a little tricky to get the tool bar to position. But with a

I can half confirm: I set one toolbar (Quicksearch) to not showing, but it suddenly showed again upon restart.

I moved one toolbar from a second line to be at the end of the first line, so that I have only one line of toolbars, and it is still there upon restart.

That is interesting.

Not sure what to say.

There is a bug report on the issue in the bug tracker.

Let's see what happens next.

The log files from yesterday evening, after the
installation of 9.0.6, are no longer available. Only
after I deleted the entire directory of The Bat and
restored it from a backup of yesterday morning, the
program ran again. The mere installation of 8.8.9. was
not enough.

Afterwards I will install the new version again and then
send you the log files.

Hello Max, the new version 9.0.6 does not work for me.
At startup, an error message (Access Violation) comes
immediately and the program hangs.

I have to go back to the version 8.9.12 (Beta).
