text, and
then change it back - and do so every time before pasting
again. Annoying as hell :(
Any ideas? Or is it just me? :) Windows XP, US locale,
everything is default, as far as languages and encodings go,
at least.

Hello Maxim,
I decided to try a couple of later alphas (10 and 12), but neither of them
seems to start properly for me at all. When the EXE is executed, all I get is
the splash screen and a small window entitled Dummy under it, see 01_img.png
attached. The splash screen does not go away, and
Hi Eddie,
E> When under IMAP I compose an eMail, TB! creates many versions copies of that

of composing that eMail.
How interesting, I just noticed today the very same thing happening with
Thunderbird under Ubuntu

Please ignore this statement. I looked at the memory usage much closer tonight,

Hi Maxim,
I have put together a crude script in Python to record The Bat!'s memory usage
over time with psutil.Process().memory_info() [1] providing the data. I ran the
script to retrieve the numbers in a loop 120 times every quarter of a second,
with the first point corresponding to the

Just tried the 32-bit flavor of the above. Everything worked fine but the spell
checker: it underlined each and every word as miss-spelled, no matter what
language I had selected. I reverted to .36 and noticed that the status bar
worked right away.

Hi Maxim,

editor?
It does that in Plain text (Windows) message editor here.

Hi Maxim,

As far as I noticed, memory usage has grown by a factor of 4-5 since the shift
from beta to alpha designation of the test builds. I wonder if this is the new
memory manager or the HTML
Hi Thomas,
Are you sure you are not confusing putting in the outbox (Shift-F2) with saving
as draft (Alt-F2)? Turning OFF Combined delivery should help too?

You are not alone. It seems the culprit is OAuth 2.0 [1], other email clients
are affected too [2,3].

Yep, noticed the same, things got worse - something
